Let’s Be Transformed (MAGUFINA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering refugee communities in Dzaleka Camp, Malawi, by providing life-saving healthcare, economic empowerment, and education. We specialize in addressing the unique challenges faced by refugees living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and other non-communicable diseases. Through partnerships with the Malawi Ministry of Health, UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), World Diabetes Foundation (WDF), NCD alliance and other local and international agencies. We deliver free, high-quality medical care while integrating vocational training programs that equip caregivers with sustainable income opportunities. Our holistic approach bridges healthcare and economic resilience, ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the care and support they need to manage chronic illnesses effectively. By fostering self-reliance and long-term solutions, MAGUFINA transforms lives and strengthens communities, creating a sustainable impact beyond emergency aid.

Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Care Program

We provide free, specialized healthcare for refugees with Type 1 Diabetes and other NCDs. Through four health centers, we deliver insulin, medical consultations, and patient education while training healthcare providers to improve service quality.

Caregiver Economic Empowerment Program

This initiative equips caregivers of T1D patients with vocational training in mobile phone repair, small business skills, and access to microfinance opportunities, enabling them to generate sustainable income while ensuring better care for their families.
